Happy Doctors Day

“The presence of the doctor is the beginning of the cure.”

Every year,  ‘Doctors’ Day is  celebrated in India  on 1st July  in the memory of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, who was a renowned physician, an educationist, a social reformer, a former Chief Minister of West Bengal and a leading freedom fighter.

Medical Profession is considered as one of the noblest professions worldwide. To recognize the same, every year July 1st is celebrated as National Doctor's in memory of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy which is his birthday and also the day of his demise. This day is dedicated to all the doctors to express gratitude for their indispensable service to humanity.

Despite limited resources, Indian doctors provide one of the highest quality of care in the word – Harvard & Bloomberg. This could be a model for US Healthcare. In India we have 1 doctor for every 1,700 people, it’s not surprising that the Indian doctor functions under stress almost always.

While maintaining a high quality of care, even surpassing an average U.S hospital in the process, the Indian doctor gives his services at highly affordable costs.

Aside from the cost-effectiveness, the Indian doctor’s expertise in performing even rare and complex surgeries also bring patients from the far shores.

Even with the massive population of the country-70% of them in hard-to-access regions, India has succeeded in becoming polio free. The efforts of the doctors to make this dream a reality has been mammoth, to say the least.

The annual celebration of this awareness campaign helps the common public to get aware about the roles, importance and the precious care of the doctors.

National doctor’s day celebration has been marked as the day  to say them a vote of thanks for their love, affection and priceless care of their patients.

So let us salute and  thank our doctors and wish them Happy doctors day..!!
